I used that approach back in 2012 and almost got burned on the Hawaii P puck - the potential savings of $4.95 are minimal in comparison to the loss if you have to pay secondary market prices later on. But I also think this is not another Hawaii in the making, no matter how low the final mintage figure will be. :)

Well, 20 to go!

I am glad I picked up a PCGS 70 Volcano when the puck came out and another one from the mint. I made out well on those. I only have a couple of 70 graded pucks, not sure why I pulled the trigger on this one, I guess because the price was so low at the time for a 70 and I liked the design. I am only going to wait until the the proof ASE and the annual proof set comes out to combine it with the new P puck, I am sure it will still be available at the end of the month.

I'm doing the same. I'm sure especially being the first coin, it will be here for a time.

JMB has just started pre-selling the Frederick Douglass ATB bullion coin:

US$2.89/oz above spot incl. capsule and (unless prices drops below US$100) free delivery.

Then the target price of silver to order the Frederick Douglass from them is $17.11. That would put you right at $100 with free shipping.

You may want to keep an eye on the Effigy Mounds ATB coins - bullion & numismatic - as mintage figures will likely be on the low end. The bullion sold just 19.7k thus far (200 more than a few weeks ago). It's not popular and the next one is already on pre-sale everywhere which will not help to bump up the mintage.

I received an actual quarter in change the other day and have to admit that I have started to like this coin. It is quite unique and has a rather high relief.

I'll be ordering mine tomorrow, and we'll see if having it in hand changes my opinion.

I'm waiting until April 4th now to order the new puck after hearing about the Congrats. Set having a " S " ASE in it.

Teach, thanks for pointing that out. Where did you hear about that? I was literally going to place my order in fifteen minutes, but will now hold off too until April 4th.

Foxwoods posted about it. I was going to place an order this afternoon too and then saw that. Now I can get all 4 of my orders in at one time. I was excited to hear about a different mint mark ASE. I wonder what else the mint is going to try to sneak in this year. I guess I better start paying closer attention to the descriptions on all of the products this year.

Yep, here:

I was thinking about waiting too, but I'm going to pull the trigger tonight as I already have plenty in my shopping basket. There will be other orders in the future to bundle this new ASE up with (like the next ATB puck).
