My wife works for a LARGE retail store and has to count money every night (lucky her). She now checks everything for me.....lol. Anyway, the past week or so, she has found $75 in star notes (50,20,&10 dollar bills), a 1943 Walking Liberty half dollar (VF), and last night a 1942 Mercury dime. Not a bad haul for just a week of looking ! See, there still are some things being put into circulation.

Are these star notes the old style notes or new big big face notes?

Nice find, what surprise's me the most about it is the1943 half dollar. I don't know about you but in my neck of the woods 50 cent pieces are hard to come by in circulation let alone one that old and that unique. The last Kennedy half dollar I got was at the auto parts store and the kid asked me if I'd mind getting it as part of my charge .
