Have to sell this to put a new foundation into my fixer upper house I just bought. What do you think I can logically expect to get for this set?

FYI - these are retail purchase prices, selling prices would be lower:
A Mercury dime set minus 1916-D with folder, I found one listing for $559.95
A 1916-D AG-03 by PCGS, I found for $695-975

I put the value of the 1916-D at about $350- maybe more if the damage isn't that distracting. The remainder of the set is probably worth about $500.

If you get anything approaching $1000, I'd be happy!

The key and semi-key dates are not in the grade that I think would warrant in the higher price range, the set can be priced at under $700 max.

This is due to the bent 1916-D with only AG-3 detail, a problem free AG-3 can go for about $450 to $525, there are more AG-G 1916-D available, it is when one going into VG and higher that's were the premium are.

I was hoping to squeeze out $1100 after fee (if I auction it). I just don;t know the best way to sell it. I know people will say "on HERE!" but I have had a hard time selling high dollar items here.

Individual items on CCF seem to sell well. Remember...you are trying to sell to collectors primarily. There are some flippers on here...but...for the most part...collectors.

I would say you are gonna max out at 900 at best. You can put it on ebay on a 7 day auction and see what happens, but you could easily get jacked doing that. Would definately have to put a reserve on it if you do.

Whichever venue you choose, I think you should sell the three key dates separately because more people are looking for them and not full sets. That is, they already have all the other coins and would want to avoid having the extra baggage. I could be wrong, but it is something worth discussing.

I'm siding with macmercury on this one... $700 MAX, before fees. The key dates shown aren't very high value. I too think your best bet is to sell the keys individually. Good luck... let us know what you end up doing and what you get for them.
