I think you have a strong MS63 coin. Some light marks on the cheek but not major.Fields look very good.I'm seeing what looks to be die clashes also.On the reverse theres a straight line running vertically right next to the "n" on In God and on the obverse there looks to be one on the neck just below the head running horizontal and pointed slightly downward.

I am pretty sure it is a VAM-5a. But I am still way too new to be sure. Good to know I'm doing good on the grade.

It's possibly a VAM-5A, Doubled date.I can't tell without closer pictures of the date and CC.Bryan would know more about the VAM designation.

I think this coin is a strong 63 with a possibility at 64 on a good day. The cheek chatter is pretty minimal and the fields look great.

I'm on board with that. It's a frosty coin, so much of what seems like chatter on the cheek could be just breaks in the frost. This one must be viewed in-hand to be sure, but I could see myself stamping "64" on it (of course, that would then ruin the coin so I won't).

The 5A attribution is relatively easy - it's a strong clash, and for most of the mint run, the clashed "n" was pretty obvious. That's your best marker for it. The doubled crossbar on the one, and the doubling inside the bottom of the first C in the mintmark, should seal it. However, check the rest of the date carefully for doubling as the VAM-6 and 7 are from the same dies, and the VAM-5B is to be considered, if the clashed "n" is faint or missing.

The clashed n is hard for me to see. The one other marker that had me thinking 5a was the doubled date, the first c being doubled and the polishing lines and raised area between denticles and wing tips. There is also a raised area between denticles and the 188 of date. That area is very noticeable with the naked eye. The only resources I have to go with are ashmore and anything else I can find on the net. I havent had the oppurtunity to buy the VAM encylopedia yet, which is definitely on my wantlist. There is also the dash under the second 8.
