Prethen - Thanks. Added that to my list before I left.
Colorado Precious Metals & Coins (2 locations) - did not stop by either location. No report.
Colorado Coin Galleries - Very nice people. Worth the stop.
Antique Legacy - in old town. More antiques than anything else. He had a few AG coins that he wanted G+ price for.
Saks Coins & Stamps (I have been to this one) - mom and pop store - nice people. Had a 1918 S Lincoln - labeled as MS - but was a cleaned coin - lots of dirt still in the 18.
Cents of the Past - Building sold, business closed. Owner does coin shows and by appointment only.
Colorado Springs Stamps & Coins (I have been to this one) - no longer in business.
Stop, Drop, & Shop - very small pawn shop. Only advertises as a coin dealer so he can buy gold and silver. Don't waste your time.
Let's Make A Deal Pawn - another pawn shop that buys gold/silver. Don't waste your time.
Colorado Precious Metal & Coins - last stop of the day. Hallenbeck owns this. Nice store. Very busy. I would say rather trustworthy as well. Gent asked to look at gold to buy. Person behind the counter provided absolutely accurate information. Very professional and polite. I spent a little over $120 on BU Wheat Lincolns and an 1921 S in XF. Definitely worth the trip.
Of interest....in trying to complete an MS63BN or better Lincoln wheat set....these coins do NOT exist. If you find a NO PROBLEM coin in MS (or AU) that you like, you had better buy it. This past year, I have travelled through Minneapolis, North Dakota, Seattle, & now Colorado Springs. May not seem like a good cross section, but every one of these dealers just roll their eyes when you ask about anything pre 37. Probably just shot myself in the foot in trying to complete my collection by stating this publicly, but, in my humble opinion, it is true.
