Anyone picking up pucks at the new price of $205? I need to pick up NP8 and this makes them more attractive for sure.

Silver is in a free fall today. Still a $50+ premium over the Olympic 5oz. bullion coin $152.60 vs. $204.95 for the uncirculated. As is mentioned elsewhere, the silver collector coins really should be mapped to a pricing grid just as the gold and platinum coins are.

Indeed. 27.05 at the moment. Ouch.

I still need NP5,6,7 and 8. I have a feeling that silver will keep decreasing. Maybe I'll pick these up when they are going for $175.

Provident metals has the Glacier, Olympic, Vicksburg and Chickasaw for between $150 and $154 by the way.

Better hurry on that NP5, by the latest sales figures, the Mint has just passed the 26K mark, so that leaves under a thousand coins left for sale. Given that they are selling a 100+ coins per week, you might have at most eight weeks or less to play chicken and see if the prices fall even further within the next couple of weeks.

mmerc20 - not the same. Provident is selling bullion version of the ATB's for that price. The NP1 through NP8 are the collector versions of the 5 oz America The Beautiful series.

And Ag has fallen under $27 today. My bottom line is hurting! I may buy another NP5 to get in on the lower mintage release at a good price.

Unless you really like NP5's design there might not be any point to acquiring a second coin. 27,000 was a generous mintage for these big babies. I'll go out on limb and say that if there are any 2012-P minted this year, the mintage is unlikely to be more than 20,000-25,000 of each design, none of the subjects are an icon of the American culture as were the designs from 2010/2011. From here on out, 27,000/35,000 may be the highest mintage of the series, with spikes here and there, i.e. The Alamo, Mount Rushmore, and Statue of Liberty, etc. You might score better with a second Gettysburg coin, as the 150th anniversary of the battle is coming up in 18 months.

Good poiny, Bizybackson. I already took my bath on NP1-7, may as well just buy something closer to spot. :)

I took advantage of the price drop and got a bullion 2011 Olympic on the way. The mint's premium is too high for me. I don't plan to collect these pucks, but I thought it would be neat to have just one for a conversation piece.

instead of buying from the mint at 204.95 I would rather get the NGC MS-69 from silvertowne for 199.95. I know its not a huge difference but still every little counts. If I wanted them raw I would go to APMEX and get them for around 185.00 (if paying by check or bank wire)

Bryan1315 - there are apples and oranges in the 5 oz ATB series. The $185 oranges from APMEX are BULLION 5 oz, not the collector series. The 5 0z NGC SP69 graded from Silvertowne are the correct collector series, but are priced at 239. NGC050ATB5OZ

oh, guess thats what I get for making a comment on modern coins I know nothing about. For some reason I was thinking this was in the bullion section and thought 5 ounces of silver is 5 ounces of silver. I admit I know nothing about this series as I don't even collect the park quarters. I started collecting a few sets of the State Quarters when they first came out but even that got old pretty fast, no current coins can keep my interest very long, but I love the classics
