I saw a thread about goals for next year, but what did you accomplish this year? It seems like each year I get enough Christmas cash to complete a set. This year I finished 2 sets: - I thought I could finish my circulated Walker/Franklin Halves book, but in the end I had too many holes left to fill. So I had to settle for completing the Franklin portion of the book. (I have 7 Walking Liberty halves left, so maybe I can finish that by summertime.)

- My granddad had an extensive collection that the family sold a few years back. He didn't have many albums (some folders, but mostly boxes of coins), but he did have an interesting one that I kept. He had a Whitman album of Canadian small cents that I am sure he was filling from coins he found in the till at his shop. Well, he was missing about a dozen coins, and I finished it today. It was small cents from George V all the way through '64.

For the record, two years ago, one of the guys at the coin shop was looking to make a deal, and he sold me an 1885 and 1886 nickel to complete my set of V nickels. Last year, I finished my buffalo herd with the 1913-S Type II. This coming year, I'm planning to finish assembling the complete Washington quarter set in XF or better and an album with SBA dollars and Sac. dollars. Anyone else with big accomplishments over the holidays?

No finish line. Made some significant advancements on my Lincoln set. 1909 S (63/64 Red), 1910 S (64Red), several teens/twenties in 63/64 brown, 31 S 63 Red (old PCI green label), and found some nice 30's/40's in 64+ red.
Started a Buffalo and Indian Head collections.
Overall, a significant jump in the right direction.
Made some great friends on the net. Found and joined my local coin club. Mostly, learned a LOT.

Nice job man.
I didn't complete any sets this past year because I wasn't working on any. I just began working on an MS65 FS (PCGS/NGC, then broken out) Jefferson Dansco, but that may take me a little while. Maybe have that one done in a few years.

I scored a really nice ancient silver Julia Plautilla antoninianus In EF, a San Diego Half in MS63, and a 1902 British Half Crown in MS 62, all at auction. How about THAT for a mixture?
The cherry of that trio would have to be the Roman coin. I have only seen one other similar, but of different type.

Nice looking sets. Those Walking Liberty ones will get more and more difficult as more and more collectors appear. Remember so many of them have mintages in the low millions.
