So, recently I was watching "Bones" with my wife, and the episode was about a coin collector killed for his collection, and after it was all said and done, the thieves missed the 1943 copper penny in his pocket. Then, on an episode of "Las Vegas", the same penny is referenced. I also remember "Las Vegas" having a poker game involving a certain Morgan dollar. Just thought it was interesting to see Numismatics involved in television. And you thought you couldn't learn anything from T.V....lol...Got any more?

I was watching the season finale of Good Vibes on MTV last week and Mondo's mom was rolling coins on the coffee table. (although it was animated and no specific coins were mentioned)

I was channel surfing last night, and saw the cast of Pawn Stars on the History channel playing poker with what appeared to be Morgan dollars.

Years ago there as an episode on Law & Order about the murder of a coin collector that led into a investigation to locate a coin collection that didn't really exist. Law & Order was one of the best shows on TV. I'm constantly watching the reruns even though I know the outcome in most of them.

An episode of Psych (on USA) on Dec 1st titled "In for a Penny" also revolved around a 1943 copper cent. It's definitely worth a watch, as it it heavily featuring coins (mentioning 1913 nickels as well) and takes several playful jabs at coin collectors :)
I suspect the writers are collectors as well as the head of the coin expo's name was Sheldon (I presume after the grading system :))

Actually, I'm disappointed by the lack of it. There is some show on TV where dealers offer sellers cash before auction. Have yet to see a coin on that show although one guy is tag lined as a coin dealer.
Also, Heritage auction has a TV event. If I remember correctly, no coins at all. What gives?

There was a Twilight Zone marathon yesterday on Syfy. In one episode I'd never seen before, a paperboy had a magical coin in his till. The show was definitely filmed in the '50s; his change was nothing but silver. Franklins, Mercs, Walking Liberties, SLQs, you name it!

I think Two Face on Batman used a Peace dollar to flip to make decisions, even though it was a movie it was on TNT the other night
