Grade in final post.

She's in an NGC problem-free holder. What grade would you assign?

I was going to say G-6, but when I looked at Photograde their examples in VG-8 have about the same detail on the reverse.
Rest in Peace

Very clean attractive original circ cameo. Beautiful! I imagine it may have been a pocket piece. I'll go G-6 as well.

I know the requirements for readable LIBERTY are somewhat flexible on Seated dollars but this coin has no trace of the letters remaining. Therefore VG seems out of reach and G6 would be my pick.
Rest in Peace

NGC said G04 and that seems like a conservative grade. The technical grade might well be a 4, but in this day of market grading I would expect this one to be in a G06 holder. She cost G06 money but at least Heritage threw in free shipping.

Thanks for the guesses and comments!

Oh, I would never have guessed a G-4.

I agree with you, should be in at least a G-6 Slab.

Great coin though, I love Circulation Cameo

It's a textbook good. I would have expected a g6, but they get one right every now and then.

That's exactly what it is. A textbook (technical) Good-4.

The eye appeal and overall surface preservation are better than G4 though and today's "market grading" would normally land this one in a G06 holder.

The least they could have done is graded it G4+!
