Is this common? I've been getting nickels for my granddaughter to put in an album when she noticed this. The P is barely visible but very little wear elsewhere. I do not have a camera so am unable to post a picture.

It could very well be a struck-through-grease filled mint mark. I haven't come across any 2007s with that myself, though, so I am not sure.

In either case, if it's neat, hang onto it. At the very worst it's worth a nickel. :-)
