OH, now I understand. Yes I looked it up in Google and it appears that place used to own us or something like that. Maybe if their economy is OK they could buy us again and get us out of this mess we are now in. Wonder how she would do in our next election?

Our economy is not doing that well either and when the new government took office in 2010 the following happened:

Laws told reporters: "When I arrived at my desk on the very first day as chief secretary, I found a letter from the previous chief secretary to give me some advice, I assumed, on how I conduct myself over the months ahead.

"Unfortunately, when I opened it, it was a one-sentence letter which simply said: 'Dear chief secretary, I'm afraid to tell you there's no money left,' which was honest but slightly less helpful advice than I had been expecting."

I agree with Glenzy1 - the 1953 effigy is the best on a coin.
Various portraits on notes are mostly unfair.
To see her on TV, she is usually a cheerful lady, with a great smile - but the "official" portraits do not capture this.
