Anybody familiar with the following new colorized quarter from the RCM? Saw it on a dealer's website (image only, no ordering option) but couldn't find it on the RCM's site. Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. All rights reserved.

The Titanic was big ship that sank in 1912. Being 2012, the RCM is celebrating the disaster.

Familiar with the Titanic, was wondering if maybe the coin was introduced to Masters Club members so that someone could share some details.

CC-Ottawa: Thanks for the update re: the MC.
Looks like it may have been an accidental "preview" of one of the Mint's upcoming releases (March?). Checked the J&M website today and the image is no longer posted.

Quote: Checked the J&M website today and the image is no longer posted I'm glad you said that since I couldn't find anything on JandM last night. Maybe it will be released on April 15? I did find some information that Canada Post is doing a commemorative stamp for the Titanic too so maybe a candidate for a coin/stamp combo.

No pricing info was listed, just the accidental posting of the image.

silverdollarnuts: Even though silver dollars are my primary interest among the RCM's issues, I'm kind of hoping that the Titanic's sinking doesn't make it's way to a silver dollar. The silver dollar series has always seemed to stick to themes that have a stronger focus on Canada's notable domestic history - IMHO the Titanic's sinking makes the grade.
