Not bad. I take it's not just me who finds a few old 50c pieces with almost no signs of circulation then.

the remembrance coins has many errors, Cuds on both sides over stampped in a couple of spots, but my favourite is the 75 planchette flaw.

I think after to 1970 cpt cook 50c rising in value after its realise when subsequent commemoratives came out people hoarded them in the hope they wouldn't be worth something one day. Further down the track people realised they weren't worth much and just spent them.

That seems right. I've been seeing a few 1982 50c pieces with almost no wear for some time now. Probably not worth it for the couple of dollars they're worth.

I have noticed with many of the 1981 wedding coins their is a gold or yellowish stain on the reverse. Erkle's coin in consistent with what I have found. Has anyone else noticed this? If so I wonder why it is so common on this coin.

The Royal Wedding coin (1981)...maybe there was a fault or over-cooked planchets?
I have some old late 50's penny's which are bright orange in colour (NOT lustre) & I was told that back then some planchets got burnt so it may be a similar thing.

could it be some sort of stain or dye from being involved in a robbery?
