There is no secret for those that know me I have a love for Canadian coins. When it comes to bullion designs the Canadians have the world by the tail. The ASE is great but it is long in the tooth. Even something nice and great gets boring when you produce a lot of them. I love the new Canadian wildlife series, though it does come with a premium. Take a look at the new addition - @ note a always you may find it cheaper from another company. http://www.apmex.com/Product/67204/...eb_22nd.aspx

I'm going to be grabbing a bunch of these. I'm not a fan of their Cougar coin, but this brought be back around to the wildlife series.

I bought a tube of 25 last night from provident for around $39 each. Thanks for the heads up on Provident I love that they only charge $11.95 for shipping as opposed to APMEX and their ridiculous $25 shipping. I just really like the Canadian coins, and especially the wildlife series

Good score TBK, can't go wrong with those wildlife coins, and I really like how fast they climb in value in a relatively short period of time....

Man, I have been a pretty loyal customer to APMEX for a couple years now. Looking at Provident, I think I will try them out next month with some of these moose coins.

I've been buying the Wildlife series of bullion since it first started. While I haven't seen the Moose one in hand yet, it does look like the best design so far. The Cougar looked like it was drawn by a comic book artist, with its big, bulging superhero biceps!
When issued, these have a small premium over regular Maples, but the Wolf, the first in the series, commands a hefty premium now, even though the mintages of these wildlife bullion coins has been steady at 1 million each.
For those who don't know much about the series, it's a series of 6, 3 of which have been released with the Moose coming out soon. Two more Wildlife bullion coins are scheduled to be released. If the pattern holds, they'll be released in Oct 2012 (dated 2013) and March 2013.

Cougars are wusses. Friend of mine used to raise exotics, and at one time she had two cougars and a Robert kitty, all kittens.
As they got older, the bigger cougars would pick on Bob. Until one time she heard a discussion, and found two cougars cowering on top of the fridge.
Bobcats ain't big, but they're 100% mean.

Provident should put me on their payroll, for all the positve pub I have brought them in the last year plus lol. As I often point out their products and shipping cost here at CCF....
One problem, they have a hard time keeping stock, lol. I was eyeing those 10 oz. Lunar dragon coins series 2 they have, at just under 400 with shipping an all. And before I could get back an make an order, they were sold out! Funny thing about those, is the five oz. from series one sells for just a few bucks less then the 10 oz. from 2012. Just to give you an idea how fast the Lunar dragon's value soars....

I wouldn't expect series 2 to rise as fast as the first one does though, dragon or not. There is an appeal to the millennium year and the first dragon for the series that the current offering will not be able to match.
I've also heard very positive reviews of Provident Metals. But, a few very negative reports of their shipping service (not the cost, but their security), are causing me to step back

I have purchased from both APMEX and Provident several times (as well as SilverTowne) and have never had a security issue of any kind. My shipments always come VERY securely and anonymously wrapped and they always require an adult's signature for delivery. No muss, no fuss, and NO problems. Not sure what you heard but whatever it was, I haven't seen it in any of my business dealings with any of these companies. They have this down to a science as far as I can tell.

maybe I'm just hearing from the unlucky few then, with their lost packages and automatic assumption that buyers opt for cheaper shipping service versus more secure options. That said though, reviews of their customer service in such events were all wonderful.
