much better than my own collection but I also have several of those, some of the less obvious ones include New Zealand kiwis (2004-2007); the Mongolian Wolverine coin - 2007; plus the usual stuff: pandas, libertads, britainias, kookaburras. You gave me some new ideas!

@chasinva69: I couldn't afford the wolverine coin when I started collecting. To think it would be selling for over $1000 when it was at only $500 not 2 years ago.... Even the 2012 addition to the series, the hedgehog, is going for $400+ preorder
I've got a few oddities coming in from Eastern and central Europe and will be adding some pictures in the near future. What I'm missing now is South American bullion, which I can't seem to find.

shocking. I paid $75 for it the year it came out. I had no idea these coins are getting that kind of money. I have to stay in closer touch with the market Will be on look-out for 1 oz. silver from south africa.

How do you find/order some of coins from other countries? I've found Kookaburra's and the lunar year of the dragon locally, but I haven't found any of the other world coins locally. Thanks

Well Pobox, I guess I am gonna have to re-figure my silver hoarding with a future pass on in mind perhaps like yourself, as the girlfriend took a prego test, and it turned pink, twice.... My old man said the smartest thing I have done to date, is not create any off spring, and that streak may be in big jeopardy.... Come 2:44 A.M. this Monday morn, I will have been here on Earth for exactly 38 years, so crazy timing to find this out as I had figured for sure I did not have the ability to reproduce, sterile I had figured..... Taxes should be better next year rof , but I am at a loss on how me an the girlfriend are gonna raise a newborn with hour crazy work hours.... Oh well, I have 31 oz. hoard of some real nice stuff growing every day, so this will be good to give me a reason NOT to sell an keep hoarding for the future.... I am pretty excited really, as I am the last of the Neely's, meaning if I don't have a male, the family name ends with me crazy enough, as I have no siblings and just the last Neely, after 100's of years of generations.... I laughed my tail off at work when my bar-tending partner Matt called me "The last of the Neely-hicans", when I told him about this at work....

Congrads Neely-ican senior to be !
We originally thought we were going to have a daughter, both my wife and I were hoping for one and the first 2 ultra sounds showed as much. I joked then that we'd either have a daughter or a boy with a really small .... then I get slapped by the missus. Fortunately, the boy is just as cute as a daughter would've been and his equipment is of normal proportions.
My progeny is coming up to 5 months old and I still can't believe it sometimes... There's plenty of fathers, mothers, and grandparents on the forum with much more experience then i, but I think it's safe to say that you'll be in one heck of a ride :) It's so far been tough, but having a little one really puts things into perspective for you... The best of luck my friend!

Yes should be a life changing experience, thanks for the thoughts and any advice much appreciated.....
Like I told the girlfriend we will just take it one day at a time an go from there. Speaking of which, I used to watch "One day at a time", back in the late 70's early 80's. A sitcom about a single mom raising two kids on her own, lol....

Surely there's some coin superstition to predict the gender of the kid?
Happy infanticipation, and belated happy birthday.

Quote: Surely there's some coin superstition to predict the gender of the kid? That'll be fun. SilverHawk, take 6 identical coins, shake them in your hands while focusing on the gender of your kid, stack the coins without looking, and tell me the order of heads or tails you get. When I flipped the coins this way the fortune read "will be happy/successful when in the company of women." And, we had a boy.
