I picked these out of a foreign silver box.
I am not sure if lower grade coins like this
have any value over silver?

Any opinions are welcome

Yes silver bin coins are about melt.

So coins like these are better than melt, at this time.
Or if they are undervalued now .. they should go up in the future?

These grade @ about VG and trend @ $18 for the 20 cent ( 100,000 mintage ) and $17 for the half ( 150,000 ) . So definately better than melt, Newfie coins always seem undervalued due to a smaller collector base/demand . These would never be found in the melt bins in Canada .

Thank you for the information. I really was not sure if lower grade coins like these had
any collector value.

I think I have more newfoundland coins mixed in with my other Canadian
coins .. I will keep a eye out for more. I do see a lot of King Edward and King George's.
The 1800's coins ...not as much ..

Newf coins are ALWAYS something to pick up. They are way undervalued.
