Found this with my metal detector a while back. It definitely has a lot of environmental damage but the details are pretty nice.

I'd say it has UNC details, or at least very nearly so. Even with the damage, it is still an amazing find!

That is a great find, even with the corrosion still a nice hard to get semi-key.

Oh, sorry, Welcome to the Forums...

Wow nice find for sure! Where did you find this, how deep was it, what kind of detector do you use, what else did you find.

Wow, that's a major find for a metal detector. I think I'm doing great when I find any Wheat cent with my detector let a lone a key date. Nice condition too. I'd say AU details.

WOW! Awesome find! AU/MS details!

It's too far gone for NCS to do anything, it's already been cleaned a little too. VC would help it a little, but the verdigris is heavy and the surfaces are pitted. The best thing to do is to protect it from air.

Tunnioc, I found this in southwestern CT, at my parents 1920's house with a Garrett ACE 350 about 7 inches down. Will share some more coins with you guys when I get a new camera and learn to take proper pictures.

Badthad thanks for the information, going to order some verdicare and give it a soak and put it into an airtight. Definitely cleaned this coin maybe a little too much but have no intentions to sell it, I'm too attached to my finds lol
