Already got two dollars coins here in Sydney that commemorates the APEC. Have you got any 2007 coins yet?

I now have some 2007 APEC dollar coins. But I didn't find them, a very Golden person from the Aussie Coins Forum found them for me after Seeking for quite a while!

Not a bad fella that Golden bloke . The APEC dollar is in Melbourne, we have kept 30 out of the pokies within the first week of their release and no longer keep them anymore. I will say that they do seem to damage very quickly, so get them now if you can.

Here in Corowa NSW I am yet to find a 2007 coin. Next week I go back to work after 12 months so I might find some then. Fingers crossed.

The problem with this coin is relatively similar to the 2005 WWII release - if you noticed, the mint uses minimum amount of area for die engraving, hence exposing more planchet raw surface to be damaged, hence you are able to see the damage almost instantously.
Now what, I just noticed we have the swimmer 2007 proof dollar coin in this year's proof set. Is that going to be only in mintset? But how about this one? Never to be in a mintset? Oh well, what a bugger mints are these days. Don't we have the dollar piggy dollar coin too? Think I saw that in a post office here for sale but for 17 dollars or so (never remember the prices right), that isn't going to happen.

I also obtained some APEC $1 from a 'golden' source, but apart from those, I've now got 38 from circulation in Brisbane. Mainly getting 1 or 2 a day, sometimes 3 or 4. They mark fairly easily & it's hard to get a good one from circulation. I've only put 1 into a 2 x 2 so far.

coming across bags of these in Melbourne, went through a bag and gave 4 bags away to another close friend. I returned 19 to circulation and kept the single solitary (best) one for my collection.
They are about and we are still finding 20-30 during a Mule hunt, the secret is finding them without all the obligatory marks/damage

G'day from the Tropical North, I picked up one 2007 APEC $1 in Melbourne, when I visited in March. Apart from the mint sets for sale at the Post Office, I haven't seen a single 2007 coin yet, of any denomination, and, trust me, I'm looking for them. Peter in Darwin

Peter, I have some spare 10c and 20c coins if you would like one of each. Haven't seen 5c, 50c or $2 yet. Send me your address, if you do want. Steve
