Nancy, the $1 you mention would be the Apec, not the MOR I presume?

I still haven't struck a 2007 50c yet... everything else is taken care of!

G'day, laid eyes - and fingers - on my first 10-cent of 2007 in Darwin today.
No APECs since August.
Some 20-cent before Xmas.
And one $2 last week.
Not yet seen 5-cent or 50-cent.

Good going Peter. I only have two 20c, one $2 and two Apec for 2007 so far. Haven't seen any 5c, 10c or 50c yet.

Oh dear, it seems the 50 cents is a lot rarer than I thought. My supply of 50 cents stopped for a while so I hope that's not the case. I'll go and try harder this week. I got an extra beaten up 50 cents if anyone is interested...

The 50¢ is certainly in short supply at present. With only 1.8m minted so far, we can't expect to be finding very many of them. I hope there will be more minted & released.  |

Then again, if none or very few were minted second half of year they will be very scarce a few years down the track. I am holding onto any I find -not many yet- just in case. However I did throw back some scratched ones early on -maybe that was not a good move.

G'day, I've bumped this thread because of some remarks on another thread about $1 of 2007, that would be better placed here:
the $1apec was circulating early in 2007.
The 2007 mint set included a 2007mor, but no APEC.
We all know that MSO coins sometimes escape their plastic boxes - I suspect because some dill sees the coins, and doesn't understand that they're worth a lot more as a set. So, any of us might be lucky, and find a MSO coin in circulation occasionally.
Having said that, we must be alert for the existence of small mint-runs, such as the 2005mor.
So, my question is: has anyone seen any 2007mor in circulation ?
I certainly haven't, and it's been months since I have seen any $1apec either.

No 2007 MoR seen in circ, still getting 5 - 10 APEC's each week.

Have pulled a couple from the pokies.
Sorry a couple of 07 roos from memory, will check again.
Not totally up to scratch on what's being circulated and what's not at the moment.
Have been concentrating with older world coinages.

I reckon if your going to pull MSO coins from circulation, then the pokies would be a hot spot to find them. Gamblers can be a funny lot  I have not found any 07 MOR in circulation yet, but have found a Kingsford Smith Cmm $1.00, Henry parkes M mm, and landcare Cmm, in change. If memory serves me correctly, they all came from customers in my cab, and 2 of which, I picked up from near the casino here in Brisbane. If it is the 07 MOR, then very nice pick up from circ gnome. |

no 2007 MoR either, I had 5 APECs and just gave one away as prize, Theres at least a 10 million mintage
