I am a sucker for these. These are the auction pictures, that blotch on the reverse was fuzz and the reverse is blemish free. I am putting this at AU55, possibly 58. What do you think? This was an upgrade for my Dansco.

I like the die clash! It could be more of a soft strike as a result rather than all circulation wear.

There is actually a slight rub in the hair, which is why I am thinking it is not MS. These are my favorites because of the die clashes - the 1865 3 cent nickel was the first coin I bought for myself at the age of 8.

AU-55/58 sounds about right, it is a weak strike, but if you can see any rub on the high points then it's not MS.

I agree with the previous grades and would add that these coins along with the Shield nickels are some of my favorites because of all the character they have i.e. die cracks, clashes ect.

That is precisely why I like these series and the Two Cent series, lots of varities, not dificult to find the odd stuff and a lot of fun just collecting and researching them.
