I'd guess AU-55 at minimum based on wear, with a possible downgrade due to the spotting. Might be mint state if what looks like friction on the knee and robe over shield is strike weakness or a photo artifact. The spotting and faint reverse hairlines should limit it to MS-63 at best on the high end. Head looks well-struck so it's a FH candidate even if judged AU. Nice coin; I'd love to see it with more natural-looking illumination. Report this Post to the Staff

westcoin Pillar of the Community United States 9796 Posts	Posted 03/11/2012 05:28 am The reason I called a cleaning on this SLQ was the spots - I believe they are left over from a dark toning the coin had before the cleaning/dipping, and they are the areas the toning didn't fully vacate the surface during the dip.
