Definitely PMD. I believe one of these coins (or one very like it) is listed on ebay for a ridiculous amount. Buyer beware.

Hey Larena, I don't think anyone is being intentionally rude. I'm pretty sure that you have some serious comments in this thread from several coin professionals who are advising you that it is absolutely PMD. I think that some of us have resorted to humour as you haven't wished to take the advice given on board. I have no doubt that perhaps you may have found them in the state they are in and that someone before you tried their creative hand with them, hence you still believing they are mint errors. The fact that the reeding at the date impression are opposite each other surely suggests to you the use of a vice?

I think I speak for everyone when I convey how frustrating it is to be asked for advice which when given is ignored because it isn't what the person asking wanted to hear.

Quote: I think I speak for everyone when I convey how frustrating it is to be asked for advice which when given is ignored because it isn't what the person asking wanted to hear. I did not wish to be rude, I was simply trying to emphasise that the coin had been tampered with. When you take into consideration all the advice given regarding the first one of these being PMD, surely a person would realise that none of us are going to change our opinions when a second one appears. No matter which way anyone looks at it, the coin is worth 50 cents and if some poor bugger pays big money for it on ebay, then they will have been severely ripped off. I would hope the decent thing is done and the listing is removed.
