dibby33: It will incorporate all (official) australian decimal coins including all varieties as found
There will also be, though not focused on, a small subsection dedicated to non-official releases etc 3rd-party issues + error coins + pnc

I suggested something similar some time ago when we were all grumbling about the lack of accuracy in maccas and renicks... I think between us we should have all the info to combine into a book (or spreadsheet)... I have also started a book on Australian 50c coins, however I think I will be the only one to every read it!

I doubt that very much, The Australian 50 cent coin has so many different mint ages and variations and a comprehensive book on these would be very welcome

I agree wirh Trout. I think most of the people on this forum would like to read it.

I would also be very interested in reading it . It would assist my "coin hunting" activities a lot Squire PS. I am happy to forward my own "coin hit-list", adding it to the Coin Community spreadsheet.

It seems we are all keen to get something up and running The web site I will be making can allow various people to update site so I would be happy to have some people onboard once I launch. As for spreadhseet web site will be linked into a dedicated database which can facilitate export into excel That's my game plan anyways

I am more than happy to get on board with this. What I am after is a simple list that I can link into so when I am auto noodling then I can associate every coin with a certain type. I don't need a spreadsheet - I only mentioned that to try and keep things simple for everybody.
Steve - I would love to see your book also!

hmmm, the book has been on the back burner for a few months, but sounds like I should dust off the draft and give it another go.
Maybe I will finish it at the same time Dibby finishes the auto-noodle machine!

Yay made an effort to finish sorting my pictured $1 coins. They are now all in 2x2s and safely kept in a purple penny folder. I typed up a list for people too. A coin community effort -- pictures are from Ingine. Is the woman in suffering the only variation in the $1 commemorative coins?

hi dibby, I was working on such a similar list but didn't kick it off for some other reasons. What I tried was put all info from this forum together. If what you are doing is similar to mine, maybe we can do that together, or get more people, each focus on a set of that. Let me know is that good.
