Thanks for sharing. I've never seen 'encased postage' before.
The Arm and Hammer logo looks just like the one on my box of baking soda....probably is.
It's pretty interesting stuff and I'll bet there is a lot of interesting history that goes with each one.

Those are some great items you have acquired. Sadly, these historic and scarce pieces are un-appreciated by many of todays collectors.

I was the underbidder on some of those pieces you listed above. Since Bowers doesn't show pictures of the group lots you never know what your going to get though the Hartman was listed by itself. But after getting outbid on some of the Bolen medals I bowed out and let the rest go. At least I know the Hartman went to a good home and if you decide to sell it at some point let me know. Congrats on the new additions.

Like the U.S., Canada has a rich history of token usage with many beautiful examples --- and also like the U.S., tokens were traded in commerce because not much official coinage was in circulation at the time.
