Just curious if anyone has seen a big market for the 50 cent piece missing the S.

They are fairly scarce, and there is always a market for those. Being in the Canadian Coin News Trends probably is the impetus for this.

Just want to clarify, 1974 50c piece. Theres a variety that comes with no S at the end of cents? Or which S are you referring to? I have a bag full of 74 50c's.

I checked on numicanada and they look to be worth about from 10 to 200 dollars but I cannot find record of another one. I am trying to get two pictures to compare the one I have.

In between the AD MARE there is a little space in the upper photo you can see on the left there is a T and the right there in an S. On the photo below there is a T on the left no S. If you take one of yours and look you will see them.

The missing S stands for the artist Thomas Shingles. I have found some other variations of other years with missing letters in the scrolls. Missing A in the left A Mari, missing A on the right AD Mare and missing AD on right of AD Mare.
Nice find JeyRey2000. Keep your eyes on your coins.

Any idea if the numicanada value is correct or are they more scarce than what is listed? How well should I protect this coin?

Thanks for the help

Guess I will hold on to it for some time because I don't see too many references to them out there. Checked ebay and nothing showed up for that variation.
