As mentioned by Zimmy, these are far date SBAs so it has to be 1979.

There are two reasons that I know that it is a 1979 SBA dollar. The first is the way that I found one. I was putting the coins into circulation by getting rolls at banks and then spending them. Soon after they were available, I went to a bank in Wheeling, WV. After I got a new roll, in opened it as I was walking up the sidewalk. I wanted a few out of the roll because I was going to buy something. As I separated a few of the coins, I noticed the Cud over the date. Because I knew nothing about error coins, I had no idea what it was. I rubbed it to see if would come off. The second reason that I know that it is a 1979 is because I have an earlier step in the progression with die cracks (only) in the area of the date. The date is still visible and there is no doubt that it is at the same location.

Zok, it would be awesome to be able to add your earlier die state to my progression. Can you post an image?
