One of the tellers at my regular bank has taken an interest in my roll searching and collecting, and asks about what I find etc.. the other day I brought in some recent finds, ( a 1919 Buffalo nickel, a 1912 Liberty nickel and an IHC). Yesterday, when I walked in the door, she said that I was "just the person she wanted to see." She then showed me that she had been saving these for me. Someone apparently spent them all at the bank.. I love the luster on the half. I know they're no huge find or anything, but I love when someone goes out of their way to do something nice!

Great teller.

Make sure to get her a small gift sometime, I'm sure she will appreciate it.
Rest in Peace

It was a really thoughtful gesture on the teller's part. A little thank-you gift is a good idea.

That half looks really good! Enjoy!

Nice pickups. I always ask if my tellers have anything like that. Today I got 6 $2 bills. Only worth face value but I put them in the stack.

She really did you a favor. For instance the Eisenhower dollars are now real hard to find and get from a bank teller. I particularaly like them because they are roughly the same size as the old Morgan and Peace dollars, and I like to play poker with them (provided that I get them back at the end of the night). The Susan B Anthony dollars I like because of the very short run that they had and the different varieties there are of them. These seem to be in very good shape. The Kennedy I like just because they are also hard to get from the tellers.

So in the end she did you are real good service. Try to cultivate her by bringing her some dounuts or candy. Treat her nice and she will continue to set some stuff aside. A friend of mine had a teller who he was treating nice and she saved a $500 and a $1,000 dollar bill for him. He gave her $2,000 for those two bills and she continues to set stuff aside for him. I pays to be nice and pleasant when dealing with they people. Of course some people are more trying than others.

Thanks for the input! I think a gift is in store. I see so many people on here make enemies with their banks, I figure it can't hurt

Wow. That was so nice of her. My sister in law works at a bank, and let me know that someone had turned in some UNC rolls of quarters. I went in and bought bank rolls of AR, IA, KY, AL, and FL. Also, there was a roll of P Puerto Rico! I brought her a coffee later as thank you.

Nice finds!

You most definitely should reward that teller.

That is awesome to have a nice teller like that. What kind of gift do you get a teller? Not all people drink coffee. Maybe a small gift card ($5) for a local store?
