Having grown up in Canada I prefer using dollar coins so I don't keep track of the number I spend here in the States. But I do have a funny story about a half... So I was getting my coffee at Starbucks and the price was $5.51. I couldn't resist  Gave her a $5 bill, a penny, and a half dollar. She looked at it funny and asked the guy who had been working there longer if they took half dollars. He said "yes". She then said "But there isn't a spot for it in the cash drawer". Yesterday 5 Pres$ for breakfast 2 Ikes$ for some coin tubes at LCS (got a half dollar in change)  Today 4 Pres$ for breakfast 104 Pres$ at the coin show 26 Pres$ for calendars at office supply place 9 Pres$ for good Chinese Take-out ======== 150 total $71,574 to go FYI - I paid one dealer at the show with 95 Pres$. He pointed to a box of dollar coins ($1000), that someone paid him earlier in the day. |
