Just picked this up from a fellow member. Curious what grade you'd give it..

Great looking seated half. I would venture a guess at AU55. Love that tone!

I would agree; there is a tiny amount of wear on the high points of the eagle's right wing and feathers, and feathers hehind the head. Nice clean fields, no nicks or bumps on the rims. Nice even toning, with a small amount of residual lustre. Perhaps a small amount of wear on Liberty's boobs and hair band, but this side grades slightly better. Australian convention is to separately grade both sides when this happens. EF55 - EF58.

I think NGC had a grouchy day and gave it an AU-53 instead of the AU-55 they should have.

Solid AU-55 but with the nice toning I feel a grade of AU-58 is due on this seated half!

It looks like a AU-58 to me. Would not surprise me too much if it has a MS grade. Gorgeous coin!

I agree with AU-58. Just a touch of wear, few marks, excellent eye appeal, and substantial luster under attractive original toning. I do see some very minor hairlines but nothing that would qualify as a "problem" IMO.
You scored a beauty for sure. Congrats!

I think I was fooled by the strike on the reverse, the tops of the eagles wings and his head just aren't fully struck, I was thinking a bit of wear. Might have changed my mind seeing this one in hand to check luster on those spots.
