I recently purchased what I believe to be the Snow 11 Variety for the 1888 Indian Head cent. With the 1 Proturuding from the Middle of The Indians Neck (not to be confused with Snow 2) This is also known as MPD-004. I need help to determine rarity and possibly value for a Good+ Example.

I cannot upload pics yet, still waiting for it in the mail. But once she gets here Ill post it!

I just need someones expertise on this example.

I have found it listed on an online indian resource but no further literature was provided on it, other than the misplaced date of the digit in neck.

The 1888 IHC had many Snow varieties ( I believe over 30), many of them misplaced digits including Snow 11, which is the "1" in the neck. Snow states that this variety is rare, but he only assigns a one star which does not carry much of a premium, possibly up to 2X. I presume there is not much collector interest in this variety.

It is fascinating how some varieties can really take off and be super popular, like the 37D 3-legged Buffalo nickel or the 1955/55 doubled date or teh 1897 "1 in neck" variety, yet others don't catch on, even if they are rarer than the ones that are hyped.

The 1897 "1 in neck" is a much bolder MPD, which may explain its popularity.
Here's one of mine--I forget where I cherrypicked this one.
