I see a normal 1960-D small date. Am I missing something?

I was looking at the "6". I was hoping DDO and not wanting to hear MD. The top of the "6" looks alot like the example I've seen here. Sorry the pics aren't better.

My bad....the inner loop of the "6". Looks like 6 over 6 to me.

I am no expert just trying to learn.

That "6" just looks just like the "6" on a 1960D DDO posted here.

I think I see what you are talking about. It is hard to tell from the picture but it isn't the same thickness as the rest of the "6"...which makes me lean towards the dreaded 2 letters MD...

Just my opinion (if your talking about the left outer part of the 6. The right part of the 6 appears to have taken a hit at the end.

Happy Hunting

My first thought was a ding to the inner loop....but then I thought I'd see some other type of damage since it's a decent looking coin.

It looks better in my hand....I guess I have to get out the microscope for better pics.

Thanks for the help.

The mark is on all the small dates. Not Machine Doubling, just part of the design.
