Your white balance looks great (assuming you used a proper white background). I think your light is just too strong. Try either backing down the light (and readjusting white balance appropriately) or try reducing your exposure in the camera settings. Lincoln Cent Lover! I read SuperDave's thread on photography (oddly enough there was a post on his thread back in 2009 from ME, so I obviously read it before and just totally forgot about it!) and I did some experimenting last night. Photos I took with florescent lighting instead of incandescent had better color, especially with the copper. I'm working on making a semi-permanent setup for my photos, so I will be able to have some consistency. A darker background actually helped bring out the color better also. At my local shop, bargains can be found, because the guy that owns the shop is pretty incompetent. His assistant runs the store four days a week, and when I do find something good in the bins I always mention it to her (because I won't go in the store when the owner is there; just not a pleasant person to be around) and she just shrugs her shoulders and says "Jim put that in there, you found it, it's yours". A 1908-S Indian in solid VG in the $1.50 Indian cent bin was one of my better finds in the last year. Last week there was one little coin sitting in the $1 type coin box. It was a very well worn 1844-O Half Dime ($85 CW Trends in Good-4). Well worth the $1. Same day in the common silver dime tub: a 1894-O Barber dime. Beat up a bit, but $2.50 for a $45 coin (CW Trends AG-3) I will take any day! In the past I've done even better than that. Report this Post to the Staff

OH MY GOSH ! HOW COULD A PERSON BE ACTUALLY *PLEASED* WITH THAT PRICE ..... ahhh well.....to each his own I guess ! .......... .......... .......... Sorry.....the above comments were meant to be COMPLETELY sarcasm ! .... That's a NICE semi-key right there ! .... $7.00 -$8.00 F-12 maybe ? ..... I was just reminded about my recent posting of "40 Proof Sets Up For Sale this Weekend". And in there, I came home with 400 LWC's and had about 40 or 50 pre-1929 Wheats. I found 1909's, 1910's, so on and so forth......but the only real comments seemed to be that I "over-paid".....and "well, as long as he's happy with the purchase." .....just stuff like that ! I listed all the EXTREMELY lucky dates that I found in the "batch"....didn't seem to matter to other posters. It just seemed to be regarded as a bad purchase with all post-1930 Common Dates or something.....dunno. And it was quite the opposite !
