I have about 5 rolls of bicentennials and I am wondering if they are worth going through looking for varieties or double dies or anything?

Yes.

The only major one is a very scarce DDO with the PUP on the RTY of LIBERTY. It's easiest to see from about the 1 O:clock position but is pretty dramatic. It appears only on Denver mint coins.

Thje chances are quite slim that there'll be a very high grade coin. These have sold for prices up to about $2,000. The DDO sells for $1,000 in AU. It is scarce in Unc and in AU but AU examples are less scarce.

This coin has a slight premium for error coins primarily because it's a one year type but also because the high quality resulted in fewer errors as well. Some things like clips and double strikes are significantly more valuable. There are no known rotated dies except on a proof set 40% issue. I save Full Drum examples in nice MS-64 and better all gems.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

Also be on the lookout for a silver mint set coin that someone might have spent. Worth a few bucks.

I'm not home (at work) so I can't reference it for sure, but I am pretty sure there are photos of this in the second volume of the Cherrypicker's Guide. Also, don't know if this link will work as you need to register with the site (which is free to do) but Heritage has sold some. Here is the link to a nice photo of one; my apologies if the link doesn't work: http://coins.ha.com/common/view_ima...nly.php?img=http://images.ha.com/lf%3Fsource=url[file:images/inetpub/newnames/300/7/3/4/0/7340359.jpg"]%2Ccontinueonerror[true]&source=url[file:images/inetpub/webuse/no_image_available.gif]%2Cif[(%27global.source.error%27)]&sink=preservemd[true]
