I just finished my first book of coins. (second if you count state quaters.) It is a book of silver rosies. The last coin is a 47s. I saw it in a lot of coins for sale on ebay and bought them for about a dollar over spot. The rest of the coins are all s mint coins too so I figured it was worth it.

congratulations! I'm slowly working on my book of State Quarters, being from Canada its hard to find BU ones (although in Toronto its not too bad). I think I'm at 23 or 24 quarters so far.

that's great, man. what set are you going to start next? I recommend you consider Ikes or Jefferson nickels. Both can be fun, easy, or a challenge if you want it to be.

Congratulations on completing your first set of coins! The Jefferson nickels were the first set that I completed, back in the 1960's. Completing a year set of large cents was my most difficult milestone. Pure chance delivered an affordable 1799 into my hands. It took me thirty years to complete a set of British farthings from 1860-1956; talk about patience! The last one was an 1863. The most fun set to complete was the so-called Dansco 7070 album for 1800-on U.S. type coins. That set involved constant upgrading and provided the best overall learning experience. I recommend the 7070 set to any and all who read this posting. Enjoy the hunt!

Congrats on your first book. That rush that you get from completing your book is the reason that I keep completing more and more of them!

The 7070 is a type set for US coins, meaning it contains most types of all denominations minted since 1800.

What grade did you go with? I picked silver Roosies for my first set. Going to try to do it in Unc/proof condition.
