Liberty Head "V" Nickel General Grading StandardsG4 Good- No details in head. LIBERTY obliterated.
VG8 Very Good- At least 3 letters in LIBERTY readable.
F12 Fine- All letters in LIBERTY show.
VF20 Very Fine- LIBERTY bold, including letter I.
EF40 Extremely Fine- LIBERTY sharp. Corn grains at bottom of wreath show on reverse.
AU50 About Uncirculated- Traces of light wear on only the high points of the design. Half of mint luster is present.
MS60 Uncirculated- No trace of wear but can have many contact marks. Surface may be spotted, or luster faded.
MS63 Uncirculated- No trace of wear. Light blemishes.
As much as I would like this beauty to be Fine, I have to go with
VG-10 due to the missing LIBERTY letters.
