Or maybe we should call it "In the till today" that has a better ring to it. Maybe this should be a post for non-noodled coins.

Anyway, I got to work, did my first sale & wahlah...
A circulated "The Last ANZAC's" $1 coin from Adelaide.

I'm not going to complain.

In the last three days I've founf four mint set only/countermarked coins. A 1996 $1 A counterstamp, 1987 $1 and a 1989 50c. Its a big thrill! Mine arent nearly as exciting as yours goatie because yours is completely different to normal circulation coins.

I wish I'd been into coin collecting when I worked in a supermarket. Maybe then I would have taken notice of the multitudes of coins passing through my hands

Here is an interesting find from noodling through some rolls of 1 dollar coins. Looking at my McDonald I see that in 1991 "Mint Set Only" 1 dollar coins were produced and also 22500 "Mint your own coins". RAM converted one of its presses to allow visitors to strike their own 1 dollar coin. This was placed in a plastic satchel and cost 2 dollars. 100% profit to the mint
Seems like somebody was short of cash, and took the coin out of the satchel and spent it....

I got these two coins in my change at Bunnings last weekend. I can only think that someone decided to break up a collection although the coins are pretty worn.
There is $10 worth of silver there so that's a pretty good pick up for 40c.

Well done all of you!!

Nice to see some unexpected coins turning up, makes the searching worth while, and keeps the interest alive.
