I've read sections (relevant to overall collecting) of the following books:
Bowers, David. Collecting Rare Coins for Profit. 1st ed. New York: Harper & Row, 1975.
Hobson, Burton. Coin Collecting as a Hobby. Revised (6th) ed. New York: Sterling Publishing Co, 1986.
Australian Based Books that I have, but haven't had the opportunity of reading yet, but hopefully I get to soon:
Crellin, Andrew. The Coinage of Colonial Australia. 1st ed. Kogarah, NSW: Monetarium, 2004.
Vort-Ronald, Michael. Australian Banknote Errors. 1st ed. Kadina, SA: Copy King, 2012.
I understand that a lot has changed over time, but ideally the concept of coin collecting as a hobby or as an investment have the same backbone, concepts & ideas.
I'm trying to get the free? silverspirit eBook but it's sending me back & forth. No luck yet. Too many steps...too many processes.
