Since I'm on vacation from work, I decided to visit my favourite bar. While at the RCM - Winnipeg, I decided to pick this up.

I just added the 1996 piedfort toonie today. Never thought I would get one without buying the set, but found it at the LCS in a 2x2. Not in the best condition, going milky on obverse, and a finger print on the reverse, but the price was more than fair, and will fit in my toonie collection just fine. Its my first piedfort, and I am loving how thick the piece is. Put it in a silver dollar size 2x2 so the edge could be seen well.

I noticed the undescribed die clashes on this Canada 1902H 5-cent piece from ebay. Yes, it's a pity about the scrape on the front. I bought it anyway. I was surprised at the diminutive size of this coin - first one to see in person.

Quote: wow you were really busy... love the '27 quarter.. one of my favourite dates to collect! Thanks, AgCoinAu. Yes and no. Took a few weeks off from coin hunting. Going through and reviewing my uni-safe quarter books (I call it de-stressing from work) and seeing this VG8 coin in the middle of VF or higher coins told me I had to do something. I guess we all do that eventually. A little wear on the lower leaves and the high points, but overall a great upgrade. The 1902H dime was a wedding anniversary gift from my wife. I hope she does this again next year.

A BU Gold Mexico 2 Pesos, 1945, a tiny button-size coin. Crud, wrong forum, I read only "post your most recent..." Meant to go in general most recent forum.

1938 50c with die cracks. Just purchased this and noticed when I checked it under my glass it has early stage die cracks on both the Obverse and Reverse. Hard to see in the photos but they are on the areas circled. The larger crack on the bottom of the reverse runs from part way up the hoof to the "D" in Canada.
