Found this coin in a roll I was searching. Couldn't figure out what it may have been...so I scanned it. It is so very thin.

You can see the IN GOD WE part and on the back you can see the outline of the wheat and the T in CENT. I just think it is a shame as to what people will do to a coin.

I would love to figure out what the date is on this coin.

It looks like a 1995 Zincoln. It is probably a metal detector find that got put back into circulation.

It can't be a 1995 it has wheat on the back with the ONE CENT in the middle of the coin.

Okay, now I see the wheat stalk. Once you mentioned it, I could focus on that and look for it. Before I couldn't see anything on the back. It looks like a 1945?

Try taking a magnifier/loupe and see if you can see the date better.

It was made that way by our US Mint to fool the Chinese into thinking that is our new coinage. Then when they start making the counterfits of those, they'll be in for a real shock.

I agree with the metal detector find. A lot of my cent finds look like that if they have been in the ground a while. I save them up in a big change jar and then roll them up when I have enough.

I think it's a 1945 or 1955 Lincoln wheat.
