Friends, Does this Qualify as a DDR? I checked Coppercoins.com and they show only one. And,that one is not like this one... Due to the Penny is so shiney Zincy,it was not easy to get in there and show the Doubling on it,about a hour and half of snap-shots to show this much...here.But,I was able to show the E-Pluribus Unum part I hope, clearly.I took many snaps of that area under different lighting to show clearly the Doubling. God Bless Beck, Linclon Penny Treausre Hunter I can take more pic's if there is chance of it being a DDR.

Friends , Thanks for your advise on how to take accurate pictures.I am working on it,and results are far better,on the Post about 1984 D,I placed the camera on a stack on books to keep it steady and results were...well crytal clear to see. Thanks for the friend who suggested doing that.I will also re-try with the clear plastic to cut Glare of the 1988 DDR Penny. God Bless, Beck, Linclon Penny Treasure Hunter

I very highly doubt your coin is a doubled die. From what little I can tell from your images it appears to be a normal coin.
I might suggest buying one doubled die so you can stop wasting your time pulling normal coins out an fighting your camera to get images. Once you see what it is you should be looking for, you will understand that they are very scarce (don't expect to find one often) and very obvious.

I got mine from a fellow collector. He used to frequent the cafe marked on the reverse. When they closed, they gave all the wooden nickels to him. He lives in Ajo, AZ. That was where the Cafe was located.
