I was super lucky at an auction a while back to get a box of whitman folders for various coins that I have been working on but there are a few that I want to purchase. Where will should I look to find the best deal on these albums? I checked Amazon and ebay, but are there any other places that sell them cheaper?

They are not a name brand - but I went with Wizard coin (google it) to get some. They sell green colored albums for very inexpensive prices (I think I paid 5.00 for some of them) and they work fine for me.

If you have a Barnes and Noble near where you live, the are usually under $5.00 each and you don't have to pay for shipping.

There are a couple coin shops in my neck of the woods that apparently buy collections, empty out the folders/albums to sell the coins individually, and then sell the folders/albums for cheap. You might want to check there. I just started a Ben Franklin half collection and that's probably how I'll get mine.

You can also check out Hobby Lobby. They occasionally have sales on their coin collecting supplies, plus you can generally print out a coupon from their web site for 40% off one item. Their selection isn't the best but they have 3-4 different types/manufacturers to choose from.

If you go to the Whitman web site and request a catalog, you would find they list Folders of the Whitman brand and the Harris brand for $3.99 each. Usually, as already noted, many coin shops sell used ones for much less. Also, try used book stores and any Salvation Army stores.
I've always found coin shows to be the best place for almost anything in coins.

Awesome. I checked out that wizard coin place and they seem to have the best prices I have found so far. I have never heard of Hobby lobby. I will have to check on that too. Thanks!
