Found this struck-through Lincoln in a bank roll tonight. Curious about what it might have been struck through. There's no pattern, so it's probably not cloth. Any ideas?

The two deep pits at the corners of the struck through area are weirdly symmetrical. What the heck?

It may have been a piece of a struck through planchet that fell off on that area. It even distorts the rim in part of that area. I don't think it is a lamination peel as there is not evidence in a straight line across the planchet.
