I think it'd be cool to see them exactly as they'd look nearly 50 years ago, in all their silver glory. Here's what it looks like in Canada, although we kept silver in our coins for a few more years and these are from 1967

Those are either 80 or 50 percent silver, but from experience I'd say 80.

Regardless, this ever happen to anybody here?

I've seen uncirculated rolls of Mercury dimes but never opened one. A lot of the ones I've seen for sale have been moved from paper wrappers to tubes in the intervening years. A coin shop near me has original Wheat cent rolls from the 50s; I've thought about getting one, but I don't know what I would do with 50 uncirculated common-date wheat cents from the same date.

I have 2 original rolls of 1964 dimes with the Federal Reserve stamp on the side. The ends are exposed and the coins on the ends are very tarnished. I opened the ends of each roll recently and the coins inside are as beautiful as the ones in this video. Like they minted yesterday. I put them back in the roll as they were. I am keeping them this way.

I used to have lots of the ones from the 50's. However, that was in the 50's.

I have purchased several original rolls of Lincoln Wheats from the 40's and 50's in the past several years. So yes they exist. Some are good and some are no so good
