coppercoins Pillar of the Community United States 7629 Posts	Posted 06/01/2012 08:18 am The anomaly the OP is referring to came onto the coin through the mint as a result of a new die and possibly a slightly thick planchet. It looks almost proof-like in hand. I have seen a number of these - they are not scarce...but they do turn an eye when found. They are somewhat unusual, but unless they are very high grade (MS67+) they really don't bring any premium value over that of any other coin of the date and grade. Report this Post to the Staff
