Can't help myself.... I got another $400 of Dollar coins today 15 June 2012

I used to keep them all, but no longer do it, not that I'm actively noodling at present, but I have a couple hundred of them and plan to do a cull and put some back in the wild. Same with 2003 20c, I've got too many of them as well.

I used to keep every 2003 20c as well. They take up too much room in my coin box.

With the 20 cents issue, there is always the gap from 1983 to 1993 inclusive. The RAM produced very few for those years, and for 1986 to 1992 included, were produced for mint sets only.

The mint sets for '86 to '92 inclusive are scarcer, because they were broken up for those wishing to complete date sets.

$1000 of 50 cent pieces (2000) over 3 days to 21 June 2012. Obtained from 3 different CBA branches in Melbourne's East.

No 1991 RAM's found at all...just the one each of 1985, 1993 COA's
1979/80 numbers in brackets refer to Double Bar versions, included as part of the total for those years. Didn't look at 1970 Cook dates, or 1994 Family
Pretty well spot-on for a 2 to 3 ratio of COA's vs Commems

20 cents (1986 coins) over 3 days to 21 June 2012, as 50c above.
One lot of 1000 coins was missing 12......girl was a bit flustered when gathering all the bags together, and may have left a few coins behind..., and another had 3 x 10c, and 2 x 5c mixed in. Tellers aren't as sharp or fussy as they once were!

Very few 2001 States coins to be found, ditto 2011 volunteer, and no 1995 UN's at all.

Anyway, there's 1986 x 20 cent coins

I had a conversation with someone today where we discussed whether or not NZ coins would go through the bank machines. Glad to hear they do. I was keeping every foreign coin I found but gave up after I got so many. No prizes for guessing where I'll be taking my NZ stuff tomorrow.

Good one

just let us noodlers know where they're going to be dropped off, so we can avoid that location...!

I did $100 worth of 10 cent pieces (yawn...) nothing much to get excited about: no commems nor any really rare ones to look out for in this denomination. Ah well, done in the interests of finding out what's out there - someone's got to do it.

1000 coins in total. No foreigns found. No 1991 or 2011's

What a tremendous effort, penny dreadful .

Thanks for the stats also. Looks like you have a couple of the "coveted" 1985 CoA. Nice
