Hello all I am new here and hope that there will be someone here who can help me. I have seen the one post about a dollar bill that was misprinted but the misprint is different on mine. I have enclosed a front and back picture of this bill where you can see the front areas are blank where they should be showing the green and black stamps and red serial number on it but instead the stamps and serial number is on back. When you look at back you can see those stamps and serial numbers on it in the area it should show on front. Is this bill worth more than a dollar? If you think a collector would be interested in this could anyone direct me as to how I find one. Thanks so much for your time and help.

My guess is at least $300.00 maybe quite a bit more if professionally graded by PMG or PCGS and the like.I hope you take care in handling. The slightest fold or crease will decrease the value considerably. It's a crisp looking note, I imagine other factors such as the signatures and which Federal Reserve Bank it is, Yours is Chicago. Series 2009 Rosa Gumataotao Rios Treasurer and Timothy Franz Geithner Secretary.

really? wow thanks, I know nothing about this stuff so please excuse my ignorance when I ask what does "professionally graded by PMG" mean? Also where would I take this to sell I do not want to be ripped off by some shady person who may claim its worth less than it is.

to CCF. Very nice find. Where did you get it? I would put it in a plastic holder ASAP and be very careful when putting it in the holder. I would get it professionally graded and holdered before I sold it if I was to sell it. Keep us updated on what you do with it. John1

Getting it graded would probably increase your price realized even though there is a cost for having it graded. You will get that cost back I am sure. Seeing here is a very similar note that sold ungraded or as we say "raw". It fetched $270.00 [eBayItem]261021419549[/eBayItem] Here's another listing starting out at $600.00 for two of these [eBayItem]140768136824[/eBayItem] where somebody can buy one and share the other with me because they are so nice!

That is one great find! I'm glad you got it out of circulation before it got damaged. I am puzzled by this kind of error. Wouldn't the whole sheet be misprinted? So there's more out there, right? Putting all those together would really be something.

Excellent find MistRaven!
I agree with TheNickelGuy, get it grade and it will be in a protective sleeve that prevent oil from finger prints, increase value than a ungraded one.
So there should be at least few more out there I hope.

Thanks Buddy and Mac I have it in a protective sleeve and plan on finding a good place to take it for grading.
To Buddy, I agree I actually said the same thing to my Hubby, it had to happen to the entire sheet when they printed it, but what puzzles me even more is that they did not catch the error that big.

Speaking of grading Paper Notes, are the authorized dealers who can submit coins to PCGS, can they send in paper as well? BTW, really nice notes!
