So I bought a 10 oz. rare oz bar from a 149 positive seller on ebay, and it did not show....

When I asked about it after about ten days, he sounded real shady saying his post office had lost shipment earlier this year and they blamed a machine, via the post office....

Later a few days no bar, I asked for refund and he said he would pay refund it after work that night, which he did not and that was the last I heard from him....

I had to open a case, he did not respond within a weeks time, and ebay ruled in my favor no contest an refunded my money to paypal instantly....

I was red hot mad, as that jack wagon tied up my cash for way too long, but I did buy a beaut of a 2.5 gold indian 1908 XF for 280, from the 335 refund an gave myself a fifty dollar payday an sent the rest to my account....

I truly enjoy giving myself paydays when I chose to, via pulling a little from pms. You can't put a price tag on paying ones self when you need it, lol....

Man I have never left a neg, as it goes against my nature, as I don't try to ruin peoples bus, but I was real tempted to, but took the high road an left nothing as I did get my money back....

The thing is, I should warn others, curious on thoughts on this one....

I imagine myself perhaps in his shoes via money not available an it could happen to the best of us. I would not ignore the emails and take the cowardly route however as I would say..."Hey man you caught me in a bind, but my word I will pay asap. Or you can open case an get it in a week from ebay much sooner, your call"....

I totally expect ebay to charge him that $335 on his next month fees, anybody know if they do that as they should or do they eat that $335?

I will add he had zero case, as he did not buy tracking info....

I am a fool for not owning printer an use the ebay labels an tracking info, but I just make my labels form junk mail, old school son, rof.....

I do buy delivery confirmations and this killz two birds with one stone, via prevents shady folk from saying pack did not arrive, AND provides tracking info, the 20 digit number on ticket, via USPS....

One of my favorite things on Earth is killing multiple birds with one stone. They used to call me "Two birds", years back when I worked at the Mellow Mushroom, as I would make four cal-zones on one bread board an load those suckers into the ovens. I am all about EFFICIENCY, and CONSOLIDATION of steps, lol....

Could be mistaken but I believe they just take back the money you paid him. Someone correct me if I'm wrong about all this, but I thought ebay held off paying the seller for a specific period of time or until the buyer leaves feedback. If it's already been withdrawn, then they can always bill his credit card. If all else fails and he closed his accounts, for instance, they probably write off the loss.. to a certain amount. If the debt is large enough, it's handed off to collection's agencies, I imagine.

In this case a negative I believe is warranted. He failed to come through at least twice...once on providing you the item you paid for and again when he failed to provide the refund. Maybe he did legitimately ship the item and the post office lost it, but to basically fall off the face of the earth when pressed for info is inexcusable.

If the price is over $20, I don't ship anything to anyone w/out delivery confirmation. Just too risky, anymore.

I agree CH as well, it is warranted. And T I agree 100% on the DCz....

To meet power seller requirements you must now have tracking info listed within 24 hours of sell anyway, not that I give flip about titles like that anyway. As I get the product pictured to buyers fast as described. So might as well make it a habit of always adding them from here on out....

Negative feedback for sure. If it was a legit loss, the seller should've at the very least kept communication up and you informed. Should've refunded you too or responded after you started the complaint.
If you are refunded then that means the seller's PayPal account was automatically charged (assuming you used paypal)

To meet power seller requirements

power seller is determined by feedback and sales volume only. Top seller (and the discount that comes with it) then require that 24hour shipping timing.

Definitely warn others about dealing with this seller. A neg is warranted. FYI, Paypal holds the money in a escrow situation for 21 days, they will release when pos feedback is given to the seller. Always give fb to the seller, so their money isn't tied up for a long time. If you feel it is deserved.

I am currently in a very similar situation, except the item I purchased was only $1.50! Seller never shipped, never replied to my emails, eventually I got my money back after contacting ebay. I too don't leave negatives and have not had to yet, but I feel obligated to let future buyers know. I just don't feel good about leaving a negative for such a cheap item.

I would leave the negative Hawk. I know youd hate to do it, but future buyers should be warned when buying big $$$ items from him.

ErrorCoins, Id leave a negative if its been more than a month. Thats plenty of time to respond to emails.

Well, I got a new issue and need some HELP and ADVICE fast how to fix this mess....

I have messed up big time and sent the 10 oz. constitution bar to a guy who won a 1 oz. silver-towne and old pour 4 oz. G & G bar (5 oz. total oops), and of course the guy who won the 10 oz. bar got the 5 oz. of silver....

He emailed me about it, opened case, then left nasty negative before I could even respond an telling him I am working it out....

I emailed guy who got the extra 5 free oz. and asked if he would do the right thing and help me out, but I am not holding my breath....

Crazy that something so foolish could happen, I just had several things to ship, and they both had similar foreign names, and somehow the labels must have got mixed up....

This is gonna cost me big time, and I don't even know where to start to fix this mess....

Leaving negs. aren't as bad of a deal as they used to be, now that they drop off after six months, or is it a year? Can't remember which. But it's no longer a lifetime black mark like it once was, pre-2008.

I would offer the guy that got the 5oz instead of the 10oz half his money back or get him to return it for a full refund.
I would then ask the guy that got the 10oz bar to return it to you ( at your expense ) and give him a full refund as well.
Hopefully the buyer that got the 10oz bar has a conscience and does the right thing

I agree completely with trout's recommendations, with the additional possibility of then completing the transactions correctly, if the buyers so desire.

As far as your purchase and leaving negative feedback...so now everybody on the planet is potentially exposed to the same situation as you endured and you had the opportunity to provide a warning, but didn't. Thanks. I don't see how that is in any way the "high road" in the grand scheme of things. You would NOT have been ruining anybody's business; the seller did that himself.

I do hope your current selling situation is resolved with no loss other than some shipping expense. Good luck.

If you don't want to leave neg. feedback, then leave neutral feedback. I believe you should leave something.

The buyer agreed to take a 200 dollar refund and keep the 5 oz. I sent, as I called them via phone, lol. How shocked they were for me to actually call, esp after leaving me a negative.....

I was nice about it, but did say you did not have to go an leave a neg an try an ruin me before I could address the situation, lol....

She just new I was a crook early on, but I said...."Mam, if I was a crook do you think I would be calling you via phone in person trying to offer you a partial or free refund of your choice, or still try an get you the correct bar?"

And she said...."Well I guess not."

Anyhow to make a long story short they agreed to accept a 200 dollar refund so that is that....

Now then, can I open case on the other guy if he does not respond to my request to get the wrong bar back, as I have of course not gotten a response as of yet?
