Ok everyone knows I suck at Grading Morgans !! But I have determined a grade in my own mind for this coin ,, and would appreciate the opinions of the more knowledgeable !!
I know that many of the 'O' mintmarked Morgans were weakly struck, but this still appears to have a small amount of wear. This can be difficult to tell for certain by the photo alone. I would give it an AU-55.
I see no wear,I do see a flattened ear signifying a weak strike. There are a number of contact marks,no rim damage and good luster.I will say BU possibly MS61.
62-63. The "shelf" above the ear is characteristic of a New Orelans strike, and I see no corresponding wear on the round part of the cap, which is the next place my eyes go after looking above the ear.
This Morgan looks close to Unc, but I see signs of rub in the fields and on Liberty's cap. The luster band should probably be sharper and more distinct on a BU dollar. I think AU55 or 58 would be about right.
