Just noodling some 20's at the moment, and in addition to QLD, NI and NT states along with a Bradman, I've also come across a new Cud on the 1999 20 cent. In the temporary absence of a photo (due to being unable to upload pics directly from my mobile), it can best be desribed as a vertical wedge attached to the right hand side half-way down of the numeral 0 bounded top and bottom by the small wavelet. Anyone else come across these?

Well hopefully one like this shouldn't be too difficult to miss. The whole of Rockhampton?

Nice little Cud. I haven't seen one there before. Nancy is the Cud queen though maybe she has?

Whether it's Cuds, die cracks, or die clashes, nancy is definitely the authority. I wonder whether every coin gets the microscope treatment lol

Quote: I wonder whether every coin gets the microscope treatment lol I use a 5 x Loupe for noodling. I only use the scope for taking pictures, or if I'm not sure if there's an error or not. Re the Cud on the 0, I do have some in that position, but not on 1999 as far as I can remember.

I wonder whether every coin gets the microscope treatment lol When I check out a coin it definitely gets the USB treatment these days. So easy and far more accurate than a Lupe Nancy puts the pic's up to help us less educated buggers find what we are looking for. Without Nancys ideas and skill I would have never thought to buy a USB Microscope an would still be struggling with a Lupe. Thank you nancy you are a coin diagnosic goddess

Once Wimbledon is over, I'll try to get back to posting pics of some more errors. Heheheh! Just goes to show how 'good' my memory is, I have 21 x 1999 20c coins with several slightly different versions of a Cud on the 0. I also have these other years: 1979 x2 1998 x7 2000 x13 2006 x10 2009 x1 (possibly, not checked with scope yet) Can't find this one now, I think I must have been cross eyed and imagined the date.

Thanks for that Nancy. Clearly I need to keep a lookout for other dates as well by the looks of it lol. I'd be very interested to see some of yours - most of the 99's I've seen with a disturbance are similar to larenas shadow in the depressed area immediately below the location of this Cud.
