San-Francisco-Label-Now-Available-For-2012-S-Quarters
The following is a press release from NGC

This summer's much-anticipated release of the circulation issue 2012-S America the Beautiful Quarters marked a significant milestone for the San Francisco Mint. Make your coins stand out with NGC's San Francisco label.

The ATB coins are San Francisco's first business strike quarters to feature the distinctive "S" mintmark since the 1976-S Silver Clad bicentennial quarters -- and the first-ever circulation issue Copper-Nickel Clad quarters to feature the mintmark. Submit yours to NGC for encapsulation with this special label today.

That is interesting to see they made a special label for them. And it'll be interesting to see the population report in the new few months to see how many people are submitting them and the range of the grades.

It will be interesting to see them in circulation because you know the ones not submitted will get dumped.

I still can't decide if I want a roll of each park for this first (and maybe only) year.

I would prefer to have just two or three singles of each park....... I wonder if/when my coin shop will be getting some in ? ....

And if Dansco will ever print an album that has the spaces for these 5 "S" mints .....

What to do...... what to do....... hummmm.

I wonder if they are putting the "S" mint mark on there because of the anniversary this year or if they will leave it on there now. We are starting to get a lot of different coins here that is going to make a complete set difficult....

I picked up a $25 bag for the heck of it. Well, mainly because I wanted a roll and it was the cheaper option. I'll probably never have one graded but I'll do my best to put together 2 nice rolls and most likely release the remaining $5 into the wild over time :). Hopefully it'll spark the interest of at least a few who may come across them to join this addiction.

I like that label, and chose it from the 3 choices in the 2 ASE proof set from MCM. It doesn't look cheesy, and it emphasizes the difference from D and P. But then again, I do also like the picturesque background label on the ATB pucks :)

Aesthetically challenged "S" Quarters with bag marks, field hits and/or rinse spots will most likely end up in circulation.

I ordered a roll along with my 2012-S ASE's, so I'll see if I get an "ugly-bug" or two I can spend...
